One small Camarillo-based company may have the power to improve the national economy, employee performance and lower high school drop-out rates.
BrainX, which started in 2000, created an online system based on neuroscientific studies to teach people exactly what, when and how they need to learn material.
"That’s what we’ve cracked the code on: how to not only get learners to understand information - which of course they are going to quickly forget - but how to lock it into long-term memory in such a way that they will remember it and be able to effectively use the information," said Bruce Lewolt, chief executive officer of BrainX.
7/1/2008 – Orange Unified School District Announces Results of a Pilot Program to Improve Exam Scores on the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)
BrainX was recently honored by the National Tutoring Association with their ‘Online Learning System of the Year 2007’ award for their Digital Tutoring System.
BrainX Congratulates Bill Gauthier, M.A.ed., MBA, Director of Training Technology, CCA Global Partners, for recently being recognized as training industries ‘top 40 under 40’ Top Young Trainers award. Bill Gauthier accepted the award for the “top 40 under 40” that recognizes the outstanding talents, accomplishments, and leadership of 40 training and organizational development professionals age 40 and under. This award is given by the Training Magazine Neilson Business Media.

5/20/2008 – CCEA Names BrainX ‘Gold Partner’
In April 2008, BrainX became CCEA's newest Gold Partner. "The California Continuation Education Association has invited BrainX to be a Gold Partner because BrainX offers one of the best products available for CAHSEE intensive instruction, for all of our students" Marion St. Amant, State President Elect, CCEA. Bruce Lewolt, the CEO of BrainX, said "BrainX is honored to be held in such a high regard by an organization whose goals are much like our own, to help students achieve their academic goals."
4/15/07 - National Tutoring Association's 'Online Learning System of the Year' award
BrainX recently received the National Tutoring Association's 'Online Learning System of the Year' award for their Online Digital Tutoring System. Upon receiving the award Bruce Lewolt, the CEO of BrainX responded by saying, "This award means a lot to BrainX since the NTA are the experts in tutorial learning methods. They share our passion for helping all learners reach their full learning potential. For over a hundred years research has shown that the 'one-on-one' tutoring model is much more effective than a traditional classroom setting and we are honored at BrainX that the NTA recognizes our ability to provide this."
